BSM to Co-Present Centerpiece FringeArts Show

August 26, 2013

On the Concept of the Face, regarding the Son of GodBSM is proud to co-present with our friends at FringeArts its must-see 2013 show, “On the Concept of the Face Regarding the Son of God” on September 12, 13, and 14 at 7 PM at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (480 South Broad Street). Following the September 12 show, our own Rev. Bill Golderer will moderate a discussion at the theater and prior to the September 14 show, BSM will host a discussion in its sanctuary with the show’s director Romeo Castellucci and Nicholas Ridout, reader in theater and performance studies at Queen Mary University of London.

BSM is excited to participate in this stunning piece of theater that examines faith, doubt, aging, and loss all in the shadow of an enormous Renaissance portrait of Jesus’ face. BSM believes that tried and true faith, faith that commands continued discipleship, is sustained through the arts, entertaining doubts, and dispensing with the notion that the so-called sacred and secular need to be kept separate. We are delighted to be participating. Through its partnership with FringeArts, friends and family of BSM are eligible for a 50% discount on tickets and a free year of membership with FringeArts using the keyword “BROADSTREET50”.
