Last Night at BSM

February 26, 2018

Last night at BSM, Allen Rascoe led us in meditating on Genesis 17:1-7, 15-17 where we are in the wilderness, and able to keep walking because of God’s faithful love that is everlasting.

Listen to the sermon here.

The community offered these prayers to God:

Thank you, Lord, amen!

I ask for peace and a cessation of hypervigilance.  Thank you.

Thank you, Lord.  Thank you, Jesus.  I lament for all in the South Florida rampage.  We need more than thoughts and prayers.  We need background checks for all guns.  We need teachers to teach, not have a “sharp-shooter’s degree!”  Continue to bless my friends in Puerto Rico so they may have electric light and hope.  Thank you, Lord.  Thank you, Jesus.

I pray for the words, the right words to use this week.

Keep me on the path.  I’ve come this far by faith so I won’t turn around.

Please be with our community.  Please keep me strong through my Lenten journey.

Prayers for God to be in immigration reform.  Prayers for God to be in gun control laws.  Prayers for Congress to understand God is full of justice and grace.

Please pray for **** as he prepares to undergo major heart surgery.  Be with him and his family as well as the surgeons and medical team.  Please pray for **** who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  Please lift up him and his family as they figure out a plan of care.

Dear Father, thank you.  Love, your kid.

Prayers for **** and ****, that they find peace.  ****, rest in peace.  ****, God loves you.

Dear God, please take care of my dad, and help me to do the same.  Please guide me.

Prayers for the nation, and the in-breaking of the Kingdom.
