Last Night at BSM

June 18, 2018

Last night at BSM, Rev. Michele Ward led us in meditating on Luke 10:25-37.  In the parable of the Good Samaritan, being present in the moment to whatever and whomever God brings our way is the kind of presence that Jesus invites us to embody in our personal and communal lives.

The community offered these prayers to God:

Please pray for: –PNC as we begin to wrap up our obligations to BSM, — my ****, that she would live a healthy and abundant life in ****, — **** and his new life in ****, and –peace.

I am so thankful that my children will be attending the BSM Youth Initiative this summer!

Pray for my friend, ****.  Pray for guidance and clarity, communication and wisdom.

Dear God, I’m worn out today, and I also need to name that I feel more peace and certainty than I have in a while.  I’m grateful, God, for your love and guidance.  Make me bold.  I love you. Amen.

Loving God, surround ****, ****, ****, and **** as they mourn their beloved husband and father who died last week. Give them strength, healing, and peace. Amen.

Please heal ****. Restore all function in her brain. Give her family peace.  Provide for them.

God, thank you for the beauty in life.  Please, please take care of my son.  Help him to discern what is best for him.  Help him to trust his parents when they are wiser.  Give his dad strength to communicate with him and to protect him. Help his half-brother to lay off trying to influence him, and to think of his younger brother’s best interest. Help all the men in my family to honor me, the wife and mother.  And God, please be with daddy on this Father’s Day.  Amen.

Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jesus.  Prayers go out to ****–a year since being diagnosed with colon cancer.  He will start a clinical trial this week.  Good luck, ****.  Thank you, Lord.  Thank you, Jesus.

Praying for the BSM Youth Initiative!!

Thank you, Broad Street. Thank you, Father.
