Last Night at BSM

August 7, 2018

Last night at BSM, Bailie Gregory led us in meditating on 2 Samuel 11:26-12:13a.  Nathan confronted David after David attempted to cover up his sins.  Nathan addressed David using a parable, which served as a reminder to David of his past anointing by God.  We see what its important to have someone who will remind us we are called, and that God cares for us.  We are reminded of who and whose we are.  We are empowered by the Spirit to recognize and admit the sin in our own lives that hurts God, ourselves, and others.  Today can be a day for repaired relationships and for new beginnings!  The Holy Spirit is gifting us with the ability to respond–so let us respond to the gracious offer of reconciliation and live lives of gratitude and love for all.  Amen.

Prayers for myself to make a friend with the girl with the stuffed animal.

So much love to the Youth Initiative team!  The work you do is difficult and trying but so beautiful and needed!

I pray that **** and **** have a great week, and I am thankful that they were safe last week.

God be in my family and help us to talk and listen–really talk and really listen–to each other. Amen.
