Last Night at BSM

August 13, 2018

Last night at BSM, Rev. Raymond Bonwell led us in meditating on Ephesians 4:1-16.  The letter is in two parts: Ch. 1-3 is doctrinal, and Ch. 4-6 is practical.  Here we turn to the practical, based on the unity in Christ.  We each have different gifts to contribute.  The privilege is to gather people in, build up their gifts, and send them out.  Notice, we RESPOND to God’s grace with good works; our good works are not a precondition for God’s love.

Listen to the sermon here.

The community lifted these prayers to God:

I just want my love for my religion to grow.  And just to be able to walk in the path I’m meant to be in.

I would like prayers so that I can regain my faith and build a stronger and permanent relationship with God. Also, I’m asking God for sanity and strength to get through my struggles with homelessness and mental illness.

Prayers for transitions, new leadership, and the saints of BSM.

Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jesus.  We seek your presence in our city, state, nation, and world.  God is needed for the forest fires in California.  Thank you, Lord.  Thank you, Jesus.

Dear Father–please heal all of our bodies and minds.  We are grateful for the gifts you have bestowed upon us.  Love, your daughter.
