Broad Street Ministry Mission Study

The Broad Street Ministry Pastoral Nominating Committee (PNC) is made up of Mike Dahl, BSM Executive Director; Jessica Paschke, Congregant and BSM Corporate and Volunteer Relations Manager; BSM Board member Jim Kitchen; and 3 members of Braintrust: Eric Flett, David Van Houten, and Pam Gwaltney.

The first step in their work was to make a clear statement of BSM’s identity, values, and mission. They did this by conducting a number of interviews with people directly involved in BSM’s formation, and constructed and administered the Congregational Survey.

They then interpreted all of the data from the survey and interviews to construct a Mission Study, a document that outlines BSM’s identity, values, and mission, which is found below.

The PNC strongly encourages you to read it and offer feedback, as it is an attempt to describe who we are and what we stand for. It will be the primary criteria they use to evaluate pastoral candidates and will serve an ongoing role in articulating BSM’s identity and mission both within and without the organization.
