Last Night at BSM

March 29, 2017

Last night at BSM, Rev. Sammie Evans preaches on the law and grace as reflected in the story of the healing of the blind man in John 9. The welcome Christ extends to the blind man is surprising and abundant. It reveals the power of the law that is written on the heart. Christ meets the hearts of us all as we encounter the heart of the gospel in this story.

Grant me the strength to dig a little deeper and find the time to lend a helping hand to those in need of it. Thank you for putting someone in my path who lightens my cares, please watch over him today and for always. Thank you for the many, many blessings you have given me. Amen.

Thank you Lord Thank you Jesus for helping us, guiding us and strengthening us. We praise you always but especially during the Lent season of repentance and penitence. May we as individuals reach out to other individuals in need and provide hope and care for them. Prayers for **** having health issues. John Newton wrote Amazing Grace.

Lord, it has been an emotional, lonely and difficult week. I’ve been given the responsibility of supervising people in my work and it’s become apparent change and edification need to come. Help me implement these with grace and wisdom. Help me in my loneliness to ask for company, to seek out peace, and to see the lesson in it. Help me to not become depressed, bitter, or cold, but to remain open and tender. Amen.
