Wednesday February 3, 2010 GATHER @ 5pm Broad Street Ministry (315 South Broad--Across from the Kimmel Center) MARCH to City Hall TOGETHER MOURN the Decision to Cut Support for the vulnerable EXPECT Something More from Government WORK for A Better Pennsylvania for EVERYONE WEAR BLACK!!!! 340,000 of Pennsylvania's most vulnerable were dealt a devastating blow when the state legislature decided to cut PA Supplemental Security Income by 22 million dollars. These budget cuts will take affect February 1, 2010 and will drastically reduce food and housing security within an already-fragile sector of society. What was allotted our neighbors before the cuts was not adequate and the disabled and the elderly were told by the state legislature that they deserve less. To deal out these cuts was WRONG.
