Broad Street Ministry Featured in Video on Newsworks

July 22, 2013

restoringCheck out BSM in this cool video and vote for our cause in the Restoring Ideals promo.

Funded by The Barra Foundation, Restoring Ideals is a joint venture by Temple Contemporary (the gallery at Tyler School of Art) and a consortium of partners including the Conservation Center of Art and Historic Artifacts and WHYY. The idea for this project centered on Philadelphia’s founding ideals of tolerance, equality and independence as they relate to the needs of Philadelphia’s living communities and the organizations that serve them.

You can show your support for Broad Street Ministry by going to the website and casting your vote. The top ten organizations receiving the most votes through this online poll will pick an object from their archives emblematic of these historic ideals and reflective of their mission but in desperate need of restoration. BSM has chosen the swallows that hang in our sanctuary. Professional conservators will conserve these objects at Temple Contemporary from September 2013– February 2014.
