Broad Street Ministry Launches “Compassionate Cuisine”

From April 1st – April 10th, Broad Street Ministry (BSM) is partnering with a variety of premier Center City restaurants to donate a portion of the proceeds from a signature dish to support BSM’s comprehensive services to vulnerable Philadelphians.
Said Jessica Paschke, BSM Corporate and Volunteer Relations Manager: “We are excited to partner with our friends in the restaurant industry to raise awareness about the pervasive issue of homelessness and deep poverty in Philadelphia, while also providing an easy and tangible way for businesses and patrons alike to make a meaningful impact. Broad Street Ministry is profoundly grateful for this show of support and looks forward to growing this program in the years to come.”
Participating restaurants include:           
   
Tria (Sunday, April 3rd only, Rittenhouse, Washington Square West, and Fitler Square locations) – $1 from every glass of La Collina sparkling Malvasia
Sweet Box – $1 from every Strawberries & Champagne cupcake
Rittenhouse Hotel – $2 from every Lacroix Turkey Club
Little Baby’s Ice Cream – $4 from every scoop of Brotherly Love Pink Lemonade
Broad Street Ministry’s Hospitality Collaborative, guided by the principal of “radical hospitality,” provides hundreds of Philadelphians a week with delicious food and social services including but not limited to case management, legal services, and benefits counseling.
