Last Night at BSM

March 5, 2018

Last night at BSM, Rev. Raymond Bonwell III led us in meditating on Exodus 20:1-17 where we explored the covenantal heart of the Ten Commandmentsto love God and love our neighbors!

The community offered these prayers to God:

Thanks be to God that my dad got a job!  Pray for wholeness and peace in my life.  Please pray for **** and ****, and for **** at her job.

I ask for peace.

Let me never forget whose I am.  Show me how to be with You and with others rightly.  Praise be to your Holy Name!  Love, me.

Dear Lord, Thank You for all the wonderful things happening in my life!  Please help me temper sadness for my mother and grandmother with joy for my father.  Thank you for loving me, flaws and all.

Please pray for: **** who needs heart surgery, **** who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, **** who suffers with dementia, and ****’s brother in psych care.

Dear God, please help me stay well differentiated when I take on things that are not mine.  Keep me focused on what you want me to use my time and gifts on.  Help me let go of what you’d like me to let go of.  I love you.  Amen.

I give thanks for Lent and the opportunity to make challenging change.  I pray for my boss **** and his partner **** and their cat ****; planning a move across the country while dealing with the aftermath of a fire.  I pray for the changes coming to my workplace.
