Last Night at BSM

February 4, 2019

Last night at BSM, Evan Hansen led us in meditating on 1 Corinthians 12:1-13.  Love is an action, not a feeling.  The love of God is a life-changing gift that calls us, transforms us, and changes the narrative of our lives.

Listen to the sermon here.

The faith community lifted these prayers to God:

Praying in thanksgiving for my safe journey to and from ****.  Prayers for ****’s safe journey to **** and back to ****. Praying for all suffering due to the government shutdown.  Peace and provision.

Prayers for the health of my family.  Prayers for my mental health.

I pray that I will not have fear—fear of difficulties or fear of love.

Dear Lord, please give me the strength and focus to get through the next few weeks.  Please watch over my mother in her latest illness. Thank You for all the blessings You have given me this week, especially BSM.  Amen.

Please be with **** on her upcoming trip.  Please be with my family as they mourn the loss of a family member.  Please be with those experiencing homelessness.  Please give us the answers to solve this crisis.

God, be with the **** family as they await news of ****’s health.  Be with **** as we work towards an answer for his health and peace of mind.  Bring peace and assurance to **** as this course winds down.  Wisdom and courage for **** in all her work and offerings.

I ask for continued grace in employment, and thank God for the blessings He is providing daily.

Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jesus.  You are our Rock.  Thank you that **** got through her **** surgery—had **** but now is okay.  **** broke her hip at 101 years old—now has developed [an illness].  **** is in **** on a Christian mission spreading the Word.  Thank you, Lord.  Thank you, Jesus, for keeping them close to your heart and in your generous arms. Thank you.
