Last Night at BSM

March 11, 2019

Last night at BSM, Rev. Laura Colee led us in meditating on Psalm 91:1-16.  We continue to wrestle with faith and fear; but finally know we are never alone in our pain.

Listen to the sermon here.

The faith community offered these prayers to God:

I ask for prayers over my travels, and God’s wisdom in making plans.

God, thank you.  May I live in your will.  Please bless me with positivity, love, and acceptance–and share that with those around me.  Please bless me on my interviews this week and allow me to match with where you believe I belong.  Also please bless ****.  Amen.

God, you make beautiful things out of the dust.  Make beautiful things out of us—out of me.

I pray that this week my mind will be calm and clear and open to being safe.

Prayers for safe travel and acceptance and support for an upcoming travel to a conservative community.

Dear God, thank you for Broad Street Ministry.  Every week I find my center here.  Please help my ****.  I fear something is wrong.  Stay with me as I travel.  Amen.

Prayers for **** and the light growing inside her—for health and life.  Prayers for **** as she struggles with loss, grief, and addiction.  Give her health.  Allow her to feel your presence, Lord.  Prayers for me to become more of who I want to be in these days of Lent—to love my neighbors more fully.
