Last night at BSM, Rev. Sammie Evans preached on the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness in the Gospel of Matthew. She spoke to the draw to power and to the realities of its misuse in social, political, and religious contexts. There is power in the gospel, and it starts with the redemption of it.
