Palm Sunday at BSM
March 26, 2015

Join Broad Street Ministry for worship this Sunday – Palm Sunday – at 4:00pm. Rev. Andy Greenhow will deliver the sermon, “When Things Go Sour.” Palm Sunday marks the day that Jesus, after doing a lot of ministry in the countryside, enters Jerusalem. He is greeted like a military hero returning home or the Phillies after winning the World Series: waving palm branches, shouts of acclamation, and music. But later that week, Jesus would be betrayed and crucified. How did everything go so wrong so quickly? And what are we supposed to do when things go sour in our own lives?
John Francis and the Amen Corner are leading worship this week. Come sing along to “When the Saints Go Marching In,” Bonnie Prince Billy’s “I See a Darkness,” Leonard Cohen’s “Everybody Knows,” and “Victory is Mine.”
After worship, Sara Corse, a Staff Therapist at the Council for Relationships, will convene a group called “Comfort for Grief” and Gracie Killman, BSM’s Coordinator of the Youth Initiative and Alternative Breaks, convenes “What is Holy Week?”
