Special Thanks to the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

Over the past year, the DoubleTree by Hilton has been volunteering with Broad Street Ministry and have volunteered every month since November 15, 2012. Through this relationship, the hotel has provided 6-8 volunteers for the Tuesday Breaking Bread program. The relationship BSM has with the DoubleTree Hotel is a model of how fellow neighbors can help each other in Center City. The DoubleTree hotel has a true interest in ending hunger in Philadelphia and not only provides eager and exceptional volunteers, but also arranges a monthly clothing donation to BSM.

The DoubleTree by Hilton brings everyone from the general manger to the front desk staff to be part of our work. The general manager, Kevin Murnane, is member of the Hospitality Advisory Board and is the first one to serve a section and tables, as well as be the first to help clean up. If we let him, he would serve the entire room. The entire community of volunteers from the hotel are amazing and always willing to help BSM when we call. We cannot thank them enough for their dedication and support for the meals and social services we provide. We look forward to working together in the New Year!
