Group Spotlight: Mission Committee Covenant Presbyterian Church

Mission Committee Covenant Presbyterian Church have been long time partners with Broad Street Ministry and have been volunteering at BSM on a monthly basis for years. We are happy to announce them as our January Group Volunteer Spotlight! MCCPC is always bringing in great energy and showing support and excitement to our guests over any good news, such as receiving housing, recovery anniversary dates, locking down a job, and last but not least…Eagles wins!

Their support of BSM does not end with volunteering. We asked what keeps MCCPC coming back to BSM, and they said, “We really like BSM’s well organized, thoughtful approach to serving those with scarcity from the tablecloths to the personal services. BSM gives their guests their dignity as well as a safe place to enjoy a great meal.”

Every month MCCPC brings 4-8 people to volunteer. Not all of their community members are able to make the trip to Philadelphia, but this does not stop them from finding other ways to give. This year MCCPC donated 350 handmade hats to us and handed them out during one their volunteer shifts.

Over the years MCCPC has been volunteering, over 50 different members of their community have given their time and energy to come volunteer. We’re so thankful for all their wonderful support and collaboration. Thank you, MCCPC!
