A Time to Reap

February 22, 2016

Rev. Andy Greenhow brings us a word from Genesis 16 entitled, “A Time to Reap.” This is the second Sunday in our Lenten series exploring Agrarian Rhythms and the Life of Faith. Reaping is what you do when something is ripe. To reap something is to know timing. Far from the pillars of faith that Abram and Sarai normally are, in this story they can’t get out of their own way. They display a lack of trust in the promise that God has made to them. They needed to let God make the move. God is at work in the struggle for these promises to be realized. So when is it our moment to reap and when is it our moment not to reap?
