Last Night at BSM
May 2, 2017

Last night at BSM, Rev. Michele Ward preached on one of the post-resurrection encounters that the disciples had with Jesus. This time, they are on the road to Emmaus, the account located in Luke 24:13-35. He meets them, and meets us, on the road, wherever we are, whether we are in the throes of grief, anger, confusion, or revelation.
Listen here.
Prayers of the gathered community:
Please pray for:
Me- as I seek to find joy and plenty in my life; and be all God calls me to be
****- my daughter as she seeks joy and plenty in her life and open doors as she searches for employment
I pray for my friends ****, ****, and ****. Prayers for all those who are graduating that they can experience gratitude and joy about this next chapter
I pray that I may continue to live mindfully and in peace more and more
No prayer request, but wants us to keep her in prayer
Thank you Lord Thank you Jesus
Give **** strength and guide her in correct decisions that she needs to make.
Thank you Lord Thank you Jesus
Please keep in prayer the family of **** who committed suicide (23 years old).
God, Thank you for always walking with me. It’s okay that you don’t reveal yourself until you break the bread. I just hope that’s coming soon. Open my eyes. I love you. Amen.
Dear God, I pray for a healthy pregnancy for **** & ****. Safe and enriching travel for my niece from Australia. Patience and energy for all the work I have to do to finish the semester of teaching. Amen.
I ask kindly for the BSM community to extend its prayers to my mom **** who recently lost her father. Thank you, thank you.
Dear God, Thank you for being with me on the road. Right now, I need to slow down and feel a lot I don’t want to feel. Please help me do that this week. Open me up to that space inside. I love you. Amen.
I give thanks for the people who do care about me and pray to remember that, and to find help.
