Last Night at BSM

October 23, 2017

Last night we gathered to hear from Allen, our BSM Pastoral Fellow, on Exodus 33:12-23 about the renewing of the covenant based on who God is rather than what the people do.

Listen to the sermon here.

The community offered these prayers to God:

Please pray for my cousins as they consider a big move.

Please pray: for my Grandma’s health, that it would be stabilized and she would have peace; for my patience, peace, and improved health; for my **** as she starts her new life in California–she needs a job!

I pray to be delivered from evil spirits.

Please be with my sister as she job searches.  Please be with my new family as they work through family dynamics.  Please give me strength and patience during this chaotic time.

Gratitude for this place is deep in my bones.  So, help me make everywhere more here.

Dear God, thank you for your Spirit showing up when I feel depleted.  Thank you for family and for your presence.  Give me your vision for church renewal and my role in it, as you will it.  I love you.  Amen.

Dear God, I pray for baby **** and baby ****.  And, please be with my son.  And, watch over my parents.  They are old.  Thank you.  Amen.

Prayers that God will continue to provide, and to give His discernment.

Please pray for healing and revelation for my unborn child’s father.  I pray that I be the future wife he deserves, who is always honest, considerate, and giving to him, our child, and family.  I pray for forgiveness.  Please pray for our unborn child and the delivery.  Please pray for us that we be the best God-fearing parents for her/him.

Everything feels broken.  Help us remember our call, privilege, and responsibility to be stewards.

Thank you for today.  Help me to remember you always.  Help me to remember you in me and you in others.  Help me know my gifts are really not mine but yours.
