Last Night at BSM

October 12, 2015

Last night, Rev. Andy Greenhow brought us a word from Numbers 27:1-11, story of the Daughters of Zelophehad. This was the second sermon in our stewardship series where we are seeking to respond generously to God’s generosity. Andy talked about the ways God has been gracious with us through the law, which is more gracious than ours and is for everybody’s provision, especially those not protected elsewhere. You can listen here.

John Francis and the Amen Corner led us in: Put a Little Love in Your Heart, I Shall Be Released, Revolution, We are One in the Spirit, Change is Gonna Come, and Lean on Me

Our community also offered the following prayers:

Please pray for: 1) *****’s safety, financial security and divine connections. 2) me…that I may be freed from things holding me back from my purpose.

Psalm 5 has been my prayer of late. After 3 weeks of almost nothing, I have 3 job interviews this coming week. One is a third interview, the other 2 are with 2 other organizations. Please pray for God’s will to be done during these conversations and that His direction is very clear as any/all decisions are made. Pray for ***** as she attends the Congress on World Religions meeting in Salt Lake City this Wed-Sun. Pray for ******* as she takes the PSAT on Wed. and ****** as he works in school and sports and drama.

My pastor’s wife went to heaven on 9/28/15. Please pray for the ***** family and Agape Christian Chapel. I just completed my first course at Biblical Theological Seminary. Remember the general election in November.

God, take away from me my heart of stone. Forgive me Lord for I have wronged You, others, and myself. I need You in all Your glory. I never want my questions to separate me from Your Love Lord. Love me. I need you. I worship You, now and forever more. Amen.

Becoming aware of hidden anger inside—which reveals itself and frightens me.

My partner struggles with anxiety. Prayer for her to seek help.

Dear Lord, Thank You for giving me this new opportunity and grant me the strength to make use of it and to better you world. May the love and generosity of the people at BSM carry me through the long weeks of the fall until I can worship here again. Amen.

Prayers for healing and optimism for ******* and those who support her. Prayers for ******. Prayers for ******. Prayers for ***** for fulfillment and direction. Prayers that I would be a more selfless partner. Prayer for progress in political deadlock. Prayers for healing the brokenness.

I pray to know what needs to break and for the strength to cut it loose or to deal with it when it breaks on its own and I pray to get through the winter and for love.

Prayers for the relationships in my family. Prayers for my relationships old and new.

So very anxious. Remove the anxiety. I can’t keep desiring control and it doesn’t seem likely.

I thank you for your gift of friendship; I’m so grateful for all the way this gift has blessed my life. I pray to be a wonderful and generous friend to others, the friends I know, and those who have yet to arrive in my life. I pray for your peace in my heart all the time Amen.

For BSM. For my kids and the children of Amigos de Jesus. For my mom as she loses her memory. For the proper redeployment of our/my resources. For *******. For my honey.

I pray for a safe pregnancy, and a healthy child. I pray that the negative thoughts and flashbacks that enter my mind every day will end. I pray that I can wholly put my faith in the Lord, and put it all in the Lord’s hands. I pray that ****** gets a break after dealing with so many horrible blows. Let him rest, keep him healthy, give him a break.
